     We are survivors of the “Blood Diamond” civil war that took place in Sierra Leone, West Africa from 1990 to 2002. Determined not be defeated, we decided to promote world peace and uplift our spirits for living by playing soccer. A group of us formed teams for competition, and now we have over 400 players and more teams. SLASA members currently reside in Sierra Leone,West Africa. SLASA is registered in Sierra Leone as a non-governmental organization. On our donation page, The U.S.A. based 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, EMPOWERED LIVING INITIATIVE accepts your tax-deductible donations for SLASA. We NEED your support !
